Why Drill/Tapping Centers?
CNC Drill/Tapping Centers are some of the fastest machining centers produced. With rapid travel speeds in excess of 1900 inches per second and chip to chip speeds of just 1.3 seconds. They are extremely accurate, very quick to set up, and offer higher productivity then traditional mills. Several are configured with rotating pallets which allow for both the loading and machining of parts simultaneously. This continual operation gives us a tremendous edge when running both small and large production quantities.
Advantages of Vertical Milling Centers
The advantages of CNC Vertical Milling Centers are simple. Size and power. Table sizes up to 41” wide x 24” deep allow for not only larger components, but a variety of fixturing options for irregular shaped parts and multiple part production. Powerful, high torque motors for cutting harder materials and fast, efficient chip removal. These capabilities are needed for producing high quality parts used in the aerospace, hydraulic, and pneumatic industries. We also have a variety of rotary indexers that provide a 4th and semi-5th axis to our milling machines. These indexers add another dimension to our capabilities when machining complex components.
Accuracy
All of our CNC Milling Centers are extremely accurate holding tolerances of +/-.0005”. Typical parts machined for our clients include heat-sinks, manifold bodies, pump housings, valve bodies and mounting brackets.
