WHAT IS CNC MACHINING?
CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) machining is a subtractive method of manufacturing to create a desired shape. It is a process that removes material with computer-controlled machines using a diverse range of cutting tools to create the final design. There is a wide selection of CNC machining methods which include lathes, mills, and swiss type lathes.

BENEFITS OF CNC MACHINING
BENEFITS OF CNC MACHINING
CNC machines are digitally programmed and their high-tech components are designed to repeat positions with extreme accuracy. Tolerances of +/-.0002 of an inch are consistently executed. The automation also eliminates human error that is common with conventional machining even with the most skilled operators.
Advances in CNC machine software and design have made it possible to produce more complex parts and higher volume quantities than by any means of conventional machining. Some of those advances are multi-axis machines, automatic bar-loaders, pallet changers, and robotic part-loaders.
Once the part design has been programmed and a prototype has been created and inspected, the program is available at any time to create the exact part over and over again. This process allows the flexibility to produce quantities of 1 to 100,000 in a uniform and cost effect manner.
The speed, accuracy, and automation of CNC machining allow a reduction in both resources used and fewer labor hours needed for production. This contributes to lower costs overall and a competitive advantage for your business.
Consistent advances in machine design, machining techniques, programming software, and tooling geometry allow a wider variety of materials to be utilized. Almost every material can be CNC machined. The most common examples are aluminum, steel, and plastic.
